Snow, Snow GO AWAY!

We have had a lovely snow filled week, not as much as my dear family and friends in OK but enough that I am ready to move to the beach!

Snow came in late Monday night/early Tuesday morning. Schools have been out since Monday, and Hannah has been home since then as well. I was able to get a "snow day" from work on Tuesday so we went out and played in the snow with Daddy and Milo. It was fun, but super cold! We didn't stay out long. Hannah couldn't figure out what to do with gloves. They are the mitten kind and she couldn't get her hands all the way so she couldn't pick up snow all that well.

J and I went back to work Wed-Fri. I envy those Moms that get to stay home everyday with their kiddos, but I can't lie.. I enjoyed being able to get out of the house! This TERRIBLE TWOS girl can't sit still! It is hard to channel her energy. We stocked up on food an essentials but not on crafty things we could do! Note to self: prepare for activities for next storm...

which is THIS WEEK! OMG really? Looks like it is set to come in Wednesday? Tuesday night? and I have an interview on Wednesday! Normally J and I carpool (for many reasons) during this weather but Wednesday we won't be able to! I will be a nervous wreck all day with driving in it and then the nerves from the interview! Geebers!

We have also been dealing with illness this week. Last sunday I came down with my 2nd 24 hour stomach bug of the year (last one on New Years), Wednesday J got it, and Thursday Hannah had it. That was not fun! The poor girl got sick 5 times in about an hour and half. We spent (her and I) half the night on the living room floor sleeping and waking because she couldn't find a comfortable position, then the rest she spent in her bed while I slept on the floor! We went to the dr yesterday just to make sure it wasn't anything major, and he confirmed it was just the bug. Yay! lets hope we are done passing that around!

Happy Birthday Hannah

What a crazy 2 weeks it has been! We celebrated Hannah's birthday 3 days in a row! On her actual birthday we did our normal Saturday routine when Mom and Grandma are in town (shop while Hannah naps) and then right before dinner time we went to Build A Bear. Hannah got spoiled (as usual) and got 2 bears! She really wasn't that interested in the bear as she was running around the store. Who knows, maybe next year!

Sunday we held our little birthday party with family and friends at our house! We enjoyed visiting with family and friends, eating chili and cake. Silly Hannah did not like everyone singing happy birthday to her!

On Monday, I was off, school was out too so Hannah stayed home with me. We did some errands and grabbed lunch with Nana and Papa since Papa was gone for her birthday. This dress (below) is from a family friend. It is so precious! As you can see our lovely 2 year old does not want to sit still for a pretty photo!

This week was another busy week. We have all been battling colds this week and trying to get over them. It 'snowed', which always causes our days to be kind of crazy. 

Our new church also opened this weekend so we have been doing various things with our campus trying to prepare for that! It was an amazing day and week but I was so tired after! Hannah and I got in a nice little Mommy/Daughter nap today! I slept for over an hour and didn't move a muscle! :)

This is Hannah today on the way home from church. We stopped at Sonic to get lunch. You can see she is tired. She was asleep by the time we got home (a 5 minute trip), I made her eat lunch and then she was wide awake! Would not lay down for a nap!

This is the other BIG thing we did this week. It has been good and bad. We have had a few nights/naptimes where she did not want to stay in bed when it was time. She has also started getting up earlier, almost an hour earlier!

I can't believe the year is over, and she will be 2 in a week! It is just crazy! The year has flown by! What do I notice about her that has changed? She is sooooo tall! and her hair is getting so long! :) Its cute! Here's to another great year!!

A New Year's Resolution

Where do I start, I feel like I have so many. Along with the usual "I want to lose weight" I feel like I have a list a page long!

Be more organized
Have more patience
Read more
Family movie/game nights
Update the blog once a week

and last...

I tried to take 1 picture EVERYDAY last year. It didn't work. I did pretty good until April/May. So instead this year my resolution is

A PICTURE A WEEK!

Thats only 4 pictures a month and 52 a year! I can do that! I wish I had my good camera, but even with my other one I can handle one picture a week right? My life isn't THAT busy! :)
